#Nasaan Ang Pangulo : Not about empathy but duty During the height of Russia's annexation of Crimea, while Europe was mulling what to do, my professor in Foreign Policy & Diplomacy posed a very challenging question to our class: "If you were a member of the Parliament, who among you here would vote to send your citizens to Ukraine to die? My professor's question stressed one of the most important decisions national leaders (specially the President and Congress, in the case of the Philippines) are entitled to make.
This question soberly reminds us that being a national leader is not a joke.
