I was in Atlanta this weekend for SIBA (Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance) where Logan Ward and I (along with about 30 other authors) took part in the Moveable Feast of Authors.
This is where each author has about 10 minutes with a table of booksellers to talk about his or her book, before moving on to the next table. It’s a great opportunity to meet the people who love what they do and handsell your book in places like a candystore/bookshop in Kentucky (Bardstown Books,) and Mobile, AL, Sarasota, FL, and Franklin, NC.
At the July event, the depth of fans’ enthusiasm for the theme was pretty clear with costumes including Moaning Myrtle, the ghost who haunts a toilet at Hogwarts and the trolley lady also made an appearance. The upcoming event will be geared towards setting up men with women, though prior speed dating events have been for men meeting men and women meeting women.
Attendance is normally capped at 60 people so reserving a space is recommended as it also helps to make sure there’s not an imbalanced number of male and female guests.

I said no thanks and they didn't want to give the books back until I called a lawyer and used the words, "law suit". Every time I go to the Strand, I get lost in the pages that are all over the place. The Strand = what is good in this showed there were still 13 in stock.
